This Week's Batch Of Funniest Dating App Tweets (May 7, 2021)

Dating has evolved over time, and somehow we've arrived at the age of dating apps. It's so wonderful to be here together... right? If you've been on the apps as long as I have, it's actually the opposite of wonderful. Just hearing the words Tinder, OkCupid, and Hinge makes me physically ill. Okay, so maybe I'm being a bit of a drama queen, but try one day on the apps and you'll see what I mean. The singles of Twitter know exactly what I'm talking about. Check out this week's funniest tweets about people's ridiculous experiences on dating apps below.

Women Communally Dread The Horrid Pain Of A Pap Smear

There's a whole lot of pain that goes into being a woman. It's not all beautiful skincare routines and cocktail nights with the girls. We go through some serious sh*t, and apparently, that includes allowing docs to shove a horrid tool called the speculum into our bodies in order to stay on top of our game. Yes, ladies and gents, I'm referring to the infamous pap smear. We all dread it, but as female adults, it's something that we, unfortunately, have to endure for the sake our of health. The ladies of Twitter understand the harsh reality, but that doesn't mean they're gonna endure it without some humor. Scroll down for this week's funniest tweets about getting a pap smear.

People Confess Past Obsessions They Swore Were Not A Phase But Ended Up Being A Phase

A large part of growing up is gaining new obsessions. While it's happening, we like to believe that, 'It's not a phase, mom!' But it doesn't take too long to realize, yep, that was definitely a phase. For example, I used to be obsessed with Spongebob. Yeah, Mr. Squarepants. I actually wanted him painted all over my room. I guess I thought I was going to forever be into iconic Nickelodeon shows... but alas, this phased probably lasted no longer than 6 months.

People are sharing the things they used to be obsessed with that they didn't exactly take with them into their adult life. Classic.

Awkward Comments Made By Gyno's Which Cannot Be Forgotten

As every woman knows, a visit to the gynecologist can be a little awkward. Even if your doctor is super friendly and puts you at ease, there's something about having a stranger being fist (or speculum) deep in your vagina that puts you slightly on edge. Depending on their approach, sometimes, gynecologists try to make things less awkward by making small talk during their examination, which, ironically, can make things even worse. These women shared the awkward things their gynecologists said to them, and all I'll say is, peering inside someone's vagina is not the time or place to crack jokes.

I said I wanted to be an artist. Then while checking my cervix she said- "i wanted to be a muppeteer". 6:46 PM Dec 27, 2020 · Twitter for iPhone 13.7K Retweets 636 Quote Tweets 209K Likes

Baristas Expose Starbucks Orders Which Are So Extra It Hurts

Does anybody really drink regular coffee anymore? Imagine walking into Starbucks and asking for a plain latte. God, that sounds so boring. You need cold foam! Pumps of syrup! Light ice! Not we're talking.

Actually, though the baristas at Starbucks have to put up with a lot of insanity. People really take the menu as a suggestion there. They are not afraid to add 16 pumps of matcha. So what if that total is $16.99? A girl needs her matcha.

Deceivingly Inappropriate Designs Which Might Require A Second Look

Okay, it is seriously getting really difficult to understand whether marketers are just incorporating sex into their every project, or we are all just way too quick to see erotic things in totally innocent objects. Can someone please come up with a decent explanation? I'm really starting to believe it's the former. So many of these photos just seem way too real. And I believe marketers do it on purpose. Yes, sex sells, but where is the line?

If you see some dirty images too, just remember it's not you, it's the world.

People's 'How I Accidentally Caught My Spouse Cheating' Horror Stories

Being cheated on in a relationship is one of the most heartbreaking things a person can go through. While there is no good way to find out that it's happening, some cheating reveals are harsher than others. For example, I'm sure most people would prefer to have their partner sit them down and break the news then walk in on them in bed with someone else. But I guess when you're cheating on your spouse, their feelings aren't exactly the first thing on your mind. These Redditors share their heartbreaking horror stories of discovering their partner was unfaithful, and to be honest, they are pretty brutal.

Cringy And Inappropriate Messages People Received In Their DMs

There is an art to sliding into a person's DMs— a skill set that not everyone has. The basic premise is to be polite, throw in a subtle compliment, and not be a total creep. Unfortunately, some people missed the memo and went from zero to a hundred on the inappropriate scale instead, resulting in these hilariously cringy attempts at flirting. I bet they wish they'd unsend these messages if they could

'Cheugy' is The New Basic, And We Officially Feel Old

In this week's episode of internet drama, 'Cheugy' has officially entered our lexicons, whether we like it or not. According to the New York Times, cheugy is a term that has gained popularity on Tik Tok, used to "describe someone who is out of date and is trying too hard." I'm out of date and trying too hard on a regular basis, so I guess I identify as cheugy now. And you know what? I'm okay with it. Twitter users are up in arms over the new term, coming up with their own idea of actions that are definitely 'cheugy,' or refusing to accept the new term altogether. Scroll down for their hilarious thoughts.

Time To Usher In Cinco De Mayo With These Perfect Tweets

Alright, ladies and gents, in honor of Cinco de Mayo, it's time for a super quick history lesson about the holiday. To make a long story short, the Mexicans totally kicked a** at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, totally taking down the French while boosting Mexican morale. Over time, Mexican and American culture became intertwined, and because Americans love any excuse to drink, they go hard on Cinco de Mayo annually with tacos, tequila, and sombreros. We really will use any excuse to drink, even if it's a battle that took place in a different country two centuries ago. Obviously, Twitter is always in on the action - scroll down for the funniest Cinco de Mayo tweets this year.

Weekly Dose Of Mansplaining Tweets (May 5, 2021)

Isn't wonderful that we have mansplainers roaming the streets all over the world. If there is ever a time we feel like being explained something that we already know, there's someone eager to do it! Without fail, men are so generous when it comes to mansplaining. You don't even have to ask! In fact, it's customary that you don't. Mansplainers thrive when people literally don't ask. They prefer to force you into the uncomfortable position of having to listen to them until they've finished petting their ego. It must take years of practice to become such a skilled mansplainer.

Overbearing Mother-In-Law Calls Son's Wife A Gold-Digger Because She Doesn't Want A Pre-Nup

Maintaining a healthy marriage is difficult enough. But adding the extra layer of disapproving parents can really push one's stress levels over the edge. I will never understand why a parent would want to interfere in their child's marriage. Is it boredom? A lack of self-restraint? Perhaps it's some kind of pride issue. Whatever it may be, it sure can mess up a lot. Parents, didn't you teach your child to be nice when they were growing up? Maybe it's time to take your own advice.

Tweets Of Kids Who Savagely Roasted Their Parents Over Text

Texting with teenagers always comes with the risk that they'll respond the same way they do in person: in monosyllabic grunts. And nothing is more infuriating than a teenager who doesn't communicate and makes you feel like a total idiot for just trying to have a conversation with them. Comedian Maggie Widdoes shared her experience on Twitter of texting a 13-year-old in her life a lovely "Happy birthday" message, only to receive "yeah" in response. Her tweet sparked other people to share their experience of texting teenage kids, siblings, nieces, and nephews and only receiving silence or one-word answers in reply. They prove one thing, and one thing only— kids are brutal!
