Tweets Of Kids Who Savagely Roasted Their Parents Over Text

Texting with teenagers always comes with the risk that they'll respond the same way they do in person: in monosyllabic grunts. And nothing is more infuriating than a teenager who doesn't communicate and makes you feel like a total idiot for just trying to have a conversation with them. Comedian Maggie Widdoes shared her experience on Twitter of texting a 13-year-old in her life a lovely "Happy birthday" message, only to receive "yeah" in response. Her tweet sparked other people to share their experience of texting teenage kids, siblings, nieces, and nephews and only receiving silence or one-word answers in reply. They prove one thing, and one thing only— kids are brutal!

Funniest Parenting Tweets Of The Week (May 2, 2021)

Having kids is hard work, no matter how experienced you are. And it doesn't matter how many parenting books you read; until your kids come along, there isn't much that can prepare you for the life-changing experience of becoming a parent. It's one of those learn-on-the-job roles that doesn't pay anything and requires you to work 24/7. Why do we do it? Honestly, I'm not sure I know. And clearly, neither do the parents of Twitter, who manage to succinctly sum up the trials and tribulations of parenting in a hilarious way. Each week we compile the funniest parenting tweets we found, which might make you feel better about any of the struggles you face while attempting to raise your kids. And here are last week's funniest parenting tweets in case you missed them.

Funny Tweets About The Grudges Parents And Kids Hold Against Each Other

When I was about seven years old, a kid in my grade said something nasty to me, which I casually mentioned to my mom when I got home from school. By the next day, I had forgotten about it, and we went back to being friends. My mom, however, still hates her to this day, and every time that girl's name comes up, you can bet my mom will snarkily remind me of the time that said something nasty to me when we were seven. SEVEN! Equally, I have never forgotten when my sister wouldn't let me borrow her earrings for my high school prom, which would have totally made my outfit a million times better. In short, family holds grudges against each other for decades, however stupid the original fight was. These funny tweets about family holding grudges might make you feel a little better about your family's weird feuds.

Mom In Tears After Husband Nicknames Her 'Miss Piggy' To Incentivize Weight Loss

The internet is full of interesting people, some more so than others. But every so often, you come across someone who is such an awful human that you can't believe they are real. One guy proved how true this is when his wife posted on Reddit's Am I The A—hole explaining how demeaning approach to 'help' her lose her baby weight was giving her a breakdown. She unveiled that after developing post-partum depression, she struggled to shift the weight she gained from the pregnancy, which is when her husband decided to reveal he was no longer attracted to her. Charming, right? It gets better. In an attempt to incentivize her weight loss, he told all their friends and family (including their young children) to call her 'Ms. Piggy', effectively fat-shaming her into losing weight. After her children called her by her new nickname one night at dinner, she admitted that she lost it and started crying. Redditors jumped to her defense, calling her husband out as the emotionally abusive a—hole that he is.

Not the A-hole I (32F) gave birth back in October. Since then, it's been extremely difficult for me to lose the baby weight... mainly due to my postpartum depression. I get next to no sleep attending to my children and most mornings, I can barely get out of bed, much
