Disney Characters Reimagined As Real Life People

We're back with another Disney masterpiece. If you've been following us for a while, you'll know how much I love seeing artists reimagine our favorite Disney characters into more modern, relatable, and realistic personalities. Previously, we've bought you how Disney couples would look pregnant, as well as what they would look like with realistic facial proportions. The latest selection shows how Disney characters would look like as real people. Instagram artist @toyboyfan creates incredible images of how the Disney characters we're all familiar with would look like if they were walking around with you and me. Check them out and let us know what you think!

The Realistic Anatomy Of Popular Toys

Most kids don't take the best care of their toys. Sure, they'll get excited about a new Barbie doll, teddy bear, or lego set for five minutes, but next thing you know, the toys have been beheaded and can be found strewn limbless around the house. Perhaps kids would take better care of their toys if, rather than the usual stuffing or pieces of plastic they are used to seeing upon dismemberment, they were greeted with a skeleton and organs instead? New York-based sculptor and toy designer Jason Freeny reimagines popular children's characters and designs them with a 'realistic anatomy,' displaying them dissected down the middle. They aren't exactly available for mass production, but maybe this is the way forward? Here are some of his masterful creations, but you can catch more of them on his Facebook and Instagram pages.

Artist Creates Realistic Sculpture Of Mickey Mouse At His Real Age

Mickey Mouse — probably the world's most famous cartoon character — is a household favorite, but one that hasn't aged since his creation 92 years ago, in November 1928. And that's probably a good thing because it turns out, 92-years-old Mickey Mouse is creepy as f*ck! Artist Darick Maasen created a realistic sculpture out of clay depicting what Mickey would look like as his real age, and it's one of the most horrifying (albeit talented) things I've ever seen! Check out the creative process below, and you'll never look at Mickey the same way again!

Speaking of genies, one guy has used Photoshop to make all of his childhood Disney dreams come true, and my inner child is so jealous. Samuel, a Spanish primary school teacher who likes to experiment with graphic design and photoshop in his spare time, has edited photos of himself to look like he is chilling with all our favorite childhood Disney characters. From watching TV with 101 Dalmatians to waxing Gaston's hairy chest, his creations are realistic, creative, and funny, all while invoking extreme nostalgia. In other words, getting rid of the alienesque features like the big eyes and tiny noses that all Disney princesses have for some reason. Disney Hunks With A Plus-Size Makeover

Unfortunately, today's culture places a huge emphasis on men and women to have perfect bodies. Some people maintain that this message is internalized by children at a young age by being exposed to pop culture and media entertainment. It can be argued that cartoons such as Disney perpetuate this unhealthy narrative because the majority of the princes and princesses are slim and beautiful. But what happens when the heroes we're used to seeing start carrying a little bit more weight than usual and more accurately represent the bodies of the average person? Check out these pictures of Disney men with a plus-sized makeover and see if it changes the way you feel towards them.

Disney Princesses Reimagined As Marvel And DC Characters

The world of Disney is full of princesses, damsels in distress, and courageous male knights in shining armor. DC and Marvel comics too, are predominantly full of male superheroes, with a severe lack of strong female presence. It's not exactly the most empowering message for young girls. But what happens when we combine the two worlds and turn the Disney princesses into superheroes and show young girls that princesses too can be as strong as Disney princes? The illustrators at Bright Side did just that and the results are incredible. Check out the modern-day Disney superheroes below and let us know what you think!

How many do you agree with?
