Girl Makes Pandemic-Themed Prom Dress, Using Hundreds Of Meters Of Duct Tape

The coronavirus lockdown has inspired people's creativity in many forms. We've shown you many examples of how people are exercising their talents, from experimenting with crazy hairstyles to reenacting iconic movie scenes and recreating famous paintings. But one high school student has really proven her creativity by investing over 395 hours over four months in designing a pandemic-themed prom dress made out of forty-one rolls of Duct Tape.

Peyton Manker was inspired to create the coronavirus-themed dress because of a contest called 'Stuck At Prom' held by Duck Brand, an American duct tape package supplies and home products organization. The winning prize is a $10,000 scholarship which will be announced by Duck Brand on July 21st. Peyton's hard work is evident in the incredible detail she has incorporated into the gown, such as social distancing designs, pictures of her graduating class, and messages of inspiration. She painstaking cut out all the letters and designs, which she explains in a video about the process of making the dress, on her Facebook page. She invested put many hours into creating pandemic related accessories, including a mask, jewelry, and flowers. Check out her amazing talent and the finished products below.

Couple Builds Mini Pub In Backyard And It's Total Goals

One of the most (relatively) devastating effects of Coronavirus has been the closing of all bars and pubs. Although this has been felt everywhere, the British public is understandably one of the most hard-hit nations when it comes to the loss of social drinking. Some are wallowing in their sadness and waiting for the pubs to reopen. But others are taking matters into their own hands and implementing drastic action to get their alcohol fix. One family in Wigan, U.K., hired Octavia Chic to construct a pub in their backyard so they wouldn't have to wait until the lockdown is over. The results are even better than you could imagine, and judging by the pictures Octavia Chic uploaded to their Facebook page (featured below), they're going to get many more orders just like that one!

Teachers Who Have Less Chill In Online Classes Than IRL

School might be closed, but for many, classes are continuing online. There are some teachers who are nailing the whole online class thing and others... well, not so much. These students have taken to Twitter to vent about the teachers who are far stricter online than they are in the classroom, proving that online teaching just isn't for everyone.

Justin Timberlake Finding 24-Hour Parenting Hard, But Receives Little Sympathy

Justin Timberlake was recently interviewed on SiriusXM's "The Morning Mash Up" about how quarantine has affected his family life. The singer and his wife Jessica Biel, have moved to a house in Montana with their 5-year-old son Silas, to protect themselves from coronavirus. His reply to the inquiry was "We're mostly commiserating over the fact that just 24-hour parenting is just not human" and as you can imagine, it was met with some less-than-favorable responses from the internet. People were pretty upset that the star, who has an estimated net worth of $250 million, was finding it hard to be quarantined with one child in a huge house surrounded by beautiful and scenic natural views. Some jumped to his defense, but most were livid. Here's how it went down.

Since all the events, re-enactors and museums who usually use their costumes have been canceled, the couple has found a new use for them in this difficult time. Izabela posts pictures of her and her husband in costume on Instagram and then hosts a quiz asking villagers to name the era and revealing them the next day. Here is a selection of some of their costumes; can you work out their correct eras?

Bad Home-Haircuts Happening Around The World

Being stuck at home right now means that we don't have access to many of the services that we're dependent on, like schools, gyms and beauty salons. And while homeschooling, doing home workouts and painting your own nails aren't ideal, they're still manageable for the hopefully, short term future. But some services, such as getting a haircut, really need to be left to the professionals because they're just to easy to mess up. These people learned that lesson the hard way, and are probably regretting their DIY chops.
