Woman Accuses Her Father Of Having A 'Fragile Male Ego' After His Homophobic Comments

Living in 2021, you would think everyone would be past the whole "anti-gay" thing. Unfortunately not, and homophobia is still very much alive and well. While society still has a lot of work to do on this critical issue, the ways it plays out in family dynamics can be equally damaging in many ways. A woman posted on Reddit's Am I The A—hole, asking if she was wrong to call her father out on his 'fragile masculinity,' following a homophobic remark he made during her most recent visit. She had put The Wiggles on to keep her one-year-old entertained—her child's favorite show, but one which her father claimed was 'creepy.' His justification? 'Because, to sing and dance and smile like that as a full-grown man, you have to be gay. That's not the kind of people you want around kids.' Um, no, sir. Fully-grown homophobes like you are not the kind of people you want around kids.

Manipulative Mom Makes Conditional Offer To Buy Daughter's Wedding Dress, Gets Trolled

There is a special place in hell for manipulative, narcissistic parents, but especially for those who try to ruin their children's wedding day. Case in point is this woman, who posted on Reddit's Am I The A-hole, asking if she is wrong to only contribute towards her daughter's wedding dresses if she picked the dresses they wore. Yes, lady, you are a massive a**hole. It sounds like a whole bunch of emotionally manipulative, controlling, self-centered behavior to me, and evidently, her daughters feel the same. The overwhelming majority of people replied to her post, expressing their disgust at her attempts to make her daughters' weddings all about herself and essentially forcing her kids to buy her approval. Below, is her shocking post and some of the comments that she received in response.

Couple Blackmailed By Groom's Mother For Refusing To Invite Sleazy Uncle To Wedding

Planning a wedding is hectic enough as is. Some family members are more outspoken than others and think they have a right to say what goes on at the wedding, even though it should generally be up to the bride and groom. Introducing the family member in question on this Reddit "Am I The Asshole" thread: the groom's mother. The groom is refusing to invite the sleazy alcoholic uncle that stole money from his family and has barely been an uncle to him, but the mother won't have it. She's threatening not to come to the wedding, provide them with money for the wedding (which isn't fazing them), and not to talk to them after the wedding. To me, it's pretty clear who the a**hole is here, but what do you guys think? Let us know in the comments.

Reddit thread about blackmailing wedding couple | thumbnail text - This is my first reddit post! After being together -10yrs, my partner, K (M25) and I (F25) have finally decided to plan our wedding. I've never dreamt of my wedding, I'm generally unbothered about the details, just a nice day. I'm slowly getting excited after confirming our venue and date last week. On Saturday, we discussed it with K's family and his mum asked 'are you inviting Uncle P?" Uncle P is just the worst. I've met him 3

Father Demands Babysitter To Cough Up $2,200 To Replace Guitar Which His Child Broke

As a teen, babysitting is one of the best gigs you can get. Kids can be super entertaining, and you legitimately get paid to let them watch TV, or play Minecraft, or make TikToks — whatever kids are up to these days. It's always the absolute best when the kids are already asleep when you show up. From that point on it's just Netflix and snacks. (Much better than Netflix and chill)

Obviously, it's not all sunshine as daisies though. Some kids can be utter nightmares and really try to test your patience. But what's even worse than bratty kids are unreasonable parents.

We hired a babysitter we've had a few times at a good rate of $20/hr since it was only for 3 hours in our home. The babysitter is a 19 year old woman if it matters, I think maybe the age will affect something.

Pregnant Woman Scared Of Her Ex's New GF, Who Is Trying To Control Her Pregnancy

Break-ups are already pretty hectic, but what happens when your ex's current girlfriend becomes super obsessed with you and your future babies, acting as if they are her own? That's what's happening on this week's episode of the popular Reddit thread "Am I The A**hole?" and we're so here for this crazy ride. The original poster is about to become a mom to twins, and we already know pregnancy is crazy enough as is. But this woman's ex's girlfriend is making it so much worse, trying to take charge of this mama-to-be's body and choices and acting as if she just the surrogate mom. It's clear to me that the ex's GF is the a**hole in this situation, but y'all read the fine print and let me know what you think.

Woman Reported By Coworker For Eating 'Sexy Potatoes' At Work

Anyone who has worked in an office is familiar with the situation of being forced to deal with a crazy coworker. If you can't think of anyone in your office... I have some unfortunate news for you.

No, but seriously, there's always going to be someone that you don't mesh with but you are forced to deal with them anyway. That's just life in general. However, this situation, shared by Reddit user u/SuccessfulPeace292, seemed a little more obscure than usual. She was literally reported to HR by her 'Karen' coworker for eating 'sexy potatoes.' If that prompt doesn't make you insist on getting more details, I don't know what will.

Woman Refuses To Provide Inheritance Money To Sister Who Needs Post-Cancer Surgery

You can find a whole lotta love within families, but you could also find a whole lotta drama in 'em too. Some families are super wholesome, some are batsh*t crazy, and some fall somewhere in the middle. On Reddit's infamous 'Am I The A**hole' thread, we're analyzing quite the complicated family this week. The story begins with two sisters - one a mother, the other one childless - plus she's never having on planning kids and frankly isn't a fan of children at all, including her sister's kids. To make a long story short, the sister's parents only allowed access to the inheritance money to their kids that had children, so when they passed on, the childless sister received none of the inheritance money. She asked her sister to lend her some money for surgery after her battle with cancer, alas she's not exactly in a giving mood considering her sister's nasty attitude towards her children.

Irish Teen Punished After Refusing To Have Her Culture Exploited In American High School

Moving from one school to another one is always a huge step. It's never fun to be the new kid. What's even harder is moving from one school to another one in a completely different country. Now, not only are you the new kid, but you're the new kid with a new accent and a new culture that you suddenly have to become the representative for.

Americans and foreigners have an interesting relationship. Firstly, a lot of Americans consider everyone to be a foreigner, even when they are living in their own country. Sometimes it can be difficult to move past stereotypes when trying to learn about someone else's background. It is a good thing to celebrate other people's cultures, and ask them questions with an open mind, but we need to understand that sometimes people just don't want to share.

Teen Reports Teacher For Ordering Her To 'Control Her Period' During Zoom Class

Having a period has always been something that holds women back since men are unable to fully understand how they work. For whatever reason, it is still a cringy topic to bring up and girls are still expected to hide their tampons in their sleeves as they excuse themselves from class.

For this teen though, that wasn't even an option. Even in Zoom High School, some teachers still refuse to let their kids 'leave' to go to the bathroom. I guess power-hungry teachers have found new ways to make their students' lives miserable. Refreshing, isn't it?

The 16-year-old eventually reported her teacher and realized that he may lose his job. Now she's asking if she's an A-hole on Reddit for potentially jeopardizing his career. What do you think?

Teen Reports Teacher For Ordering Her To 'Control Her Period'| thumbnail photo - AITA for reporting my teacher and potentially getting him fired? My (16f) school requires us to keep our cameras on during the entire class. If we need to use the restroom we are supposed to privately message our teacher and ask to leave. I have absolutely no issue with these rules as I understand that online teaching is hard and you have to make sure everyone is attentive during classes.

Wife Pissed At Husband After He Asks Her To Cook Him Separate Meals When She's On Diet

Being on a diet isn't easy, but it's especially tough when you're living with someone who isn't. Watching them eat all the foods you are restricting can be a hard temptation, but diets are a personal choice, and no one else should have to limit themselves for you just because you've decided to diet. Sure, you can be mindful of what you eat in front of someone, but that's about it. One married couple is butting heads over the correct way to go about one of them dieting, and the husband posted on Reddit's Am I The A—hole for some moral support.

I'm 6'4 and an average weight for my height.

Dad Fuming After Mom Puts Makeup On Their 2-Year-Old, Resulting In A Rash

Makeup is meant for adults; there are no two ways about it. Sure, kids can experiment and have fun with their mom or older sister's makeup, but only with adult supervision and within the framework of playing dress-up. Aside from the fact that adults encouraging children to wear makeup hild can cause body image issues that a child shouldn't have, some makeup contains chemicals that aren't designed for children's skin and can cause irritation and rashes. One father discovered this the hard way when his wife experimented with her makeup on their two-year-old child, which caused her to break out in a rash. A parenting war erupted over who was right.

Wife Fuming After Catching Husband Selling Her Sandwiches To Buy Fast Food For Lunch

Anyone who buys lunch every day at work will know how fast the bills add up. A coffee here, a burger there, and a salad somewhere else, these 'small' costs can suddenly become significant accumulated amounts. One couple decided that in an attempt to save up for a house, part of their cost-cutting strategy would be for the husband to bring in his wife's homemade sandwiches instead of buying fast food. But when she found out through his coworker that he had been selling her sandwiches to them and using the money to buy fast food instead, she was understandably devastated and felt like she was being taken advantage of.

Childfree Woman With Demanding Job Upset At Moms For Claiming Monopoly On Tiredness

We all have that one friend who just cannot stop 'sneak-bragging' about how overwhelmed they are, how they just barely have enough time to eat or sleep or exercise. Yet it seems as though they really make the time to tell you all of this, literally every single day. And of course, they never ask you about your life and your duties, because they're so cute and little compared to hers. You couldn't possibly understand what it's like to be tired! Why is it always a competition of who is busier? I know this must be making you think of somebody.

Before we get into this aggravating 'Am I The A-hole' post, if you feel pissed off already and want to scream, feel free to let it all out.

'Influencer' Mad At GF For Sabotaging TikTok Account After He Lies About Their Relationship

Gone are the days when being an influencer was a fun side-gig. Nowadays, if you want to make it on social media, you have to devote all your spare time to building a following and creating an online presence. But when you're dedicating that much time, the lines between your real life and the life you're pretending to live online can become blurred. One guy learned this the hard way when he uploaded a video to TikTok showcasing his daily routine, in which he claimed to spend four hours a day cuddling with his girlfriend. His girlfriend clapped back, saying she barely sees him for half an hour a day because of the extra time he dedicated to growing his following on TikTok. In response, she created a video displaying screenshots of his recent attempts to cancel plans, proving how little time he actually spent with her. Her actions resulted in him losing a chunk of his followers, who claimed he was a fraud and a liar. Understandably, her boyfriend wasn't happy with her, but she posted her predicament on Reddit's Am I TheA—hole claiming her actions were justified. What do you think?

A whole lotta sht could go down in a marriage, and a whole lot of sht can go down at work. But what about when the two collide and create an explosion of cringe and awkwardness? That's exactly what happened on the well-known Reddit thread 'Am I The Asshole?' this week. New Mom Lashes Out After Husband's Constant Sexist Jokes

Having children is quite possibly the most significant commitment you will ever make in your life and one you should only undertake if you plan on doing the hard work involved in raising your kids. This means sharing parental responsibilities with your partner, even if you didn't give birth yourself. Yes, dads, we're talking about you. However, it appears that some fathers don't understand how contributing half the ingredients towards making a child means that you are responsible for half the work in taking care of them. One new mom found out that not all dads believe this to be the case when her husband used sexist jokes as responses to her repeated requests to help her with their baby. She claimed that she did 99% of the work, and her husband refused to help, claiming that it was the women's job to raise babies. When she finally snapped and called him a d*ck, he went off in a huff, making her feel the need to apologize. She posted her dilemma on Reddit's Am I The A—Hole, and unsurprisingly, Redditors had a lot to say in her defense.
