Woman Reveals Difference Between How Men and Women View Friendship

Ever drove yourself crazy not being able to understand the motives of a man? Well, you're not alone. There has to be a reason behind how basically every time a girl is nice to a guy it's perceived as flirting. And if god forbid a girl refers to him as her friend, BOOM, he's 'friend-zoned.' But, why? Can girls and guys just not be friends? Is it not okay to be around a guy, and laugh at his jokes, but not want to sleep with him?

Women Reveal Times They Were Severely Underestimated

Being a woman definitely has its perks. We can wear whatever we want, cry whenever we want, and sleep with whoever we want — Just kidding, in that case, we'd be called "easy." But seriously it is 2021, a woman no longer strives to simply marry rich, they are smart, strong, and independent boss bitches. It has become increasingly clear that women are more than capable to support themselves, as well as their husbands and families, It is time the service world catches up as well.

My husband went with and on the 'order day' the Financial Manager of the supplier came up to my husband and asked him what he thinks about the new range and what he is considering to buy. My husband replied very dryly that he is only the plus 1 and that he must speak to me seeing that I am the one with the chequebook. 14.0k + Reply Give Awar

Woman Wants To Report Therapist For Breaking Confidentiality And Speaking To Her Stepmom

Confidentiality between therapists (and all other medical professionals) and their clients is kind of a big deal, which, if breached, is cause for dismissal and removal of their medical license. I mean, if I found out my therapist had shared information discussed in our sessions with someone else, I'd be furious. But If I discovered that she'd shared it with anyone in my family, it would be a whole new level of hell. A hell which one girl found herself in when she found out her therapist had been sharing notes from their sessions with her new stepmom. She posted on Reddit's Am I The A— Hole, explaining that her mother had died unexpectedly a year prior, and her dad remarried his new wife within the year. The OP, who was struggling to cope, started seeing a therapist, who turned out to be sharing information from the sessions with her new stepmom, who incidentally was the one paying for the sessions. Ethical, huh? Understandably, the OP was gutted and betrayed. When she turned to her father for sympathy, he sided with his new wife, leaving her at a loss. It sounds pretty sh**ty for her all-round, but fellow Redditors jumped to her defense, correctly encouraging her to report the therapist and get away from her toxic family as fast as she can.

Brother Accuses Sister-In-Law Of Cheating After She Starts Wearing Makeup, Husband Is Fuming

Having not put on a full face of makeup for the best part of a year, I jump at any opportunity to get dressed up. Or at least to feel like I've put some effort into my appearance, because how long can a girl wear sweats and have her hair in a messy bun before she goes insane? So I fully support any woman who puts on makeup to feel good about the way she looks, even if it's to stay at home. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees with me. One guy posted on Reddit's Am I The A—hole, explaining that his wife, who received some makeup as a gift, has started experimenting with different looks, adding that "she's really talented with it, and she's having a lot of fun." So far, so good.

That is until his brother "decided she must be posting pictures or sending pics to some dude or multiple dudes," aka, she must be cheating because there's no other explanation as to why she'd suddenly be wearing makeup. Of course, women only wear makeup to cheat on their partners, right? The woman's husband called his brother an "insecure, testicle grabbing, chauvinist man-baby," which obviously didn't go down well. Read the whole story below, and see how quickly Redditor's jump to her defense, commend the OP for his healthy attitude towards the entire thing, and call out the toxic brother-in-law for projecting all hit sh*t onto his brother's wife.

Boss Dragged For Claiming Employee's Morning Sickness 'Counteracts Feminist Movement'

If you ever need a stark reminder that sexism is still very much alive and well, here's a story for ya. A male employer recently posted a rant on Reddit's Am I The AHole, expressing his displeasure over his (by the sounds of it, very much overworked) female employee's productivity being affected by her morning sickness. Yeah, no sh*t Sherlock. Try going through one day of pregnancy, and then mansplain about what a breeze it is. He said that since she was only in her "first trimester and barely even pregnant yet," he didn't think it was "fair to other women that she was using a normal bodily function as an excuse for low productivity." Ummm OK. Death is also a 'normal bodily function,' so I'm not sure that argument holds up. The cherry on the top of his ignorant, misogynistic rant was him telling her, "This is what women fought to counteract during the feminist movement." OK, so two things are clear to me: not only does this idiot have zero comprehension of how difficult pregnancy can be, but he's completely missed the point that his dismissal of her medical issues because it's pregnancy-related, is the sexist part. As you can imagine, Redditors were quick to jump down his throat, calling him out on being the a—hole that he is. God help his wife when she is pregnant.

Tweets About Being A Woman Without Saying 'Woman'

A tweet asking women to "Tell me you're a woman without telling me you're a woman" has gone viral. And not necessarily for positive reasons. Hundreds of women commented, describing their experiences of being women without revealing their gender in a sentence or two. The majority of comments pointed out an inequality, discrimination, or assumption that they face from the world as a woman, whether it was about their safety when walking alone, the pressures of motherhood, or their career prospects. Here are some of the comments, which show just how far the world still needs to go regarding women's equality.

Woman Discovers Husband Doesn't Change Underwear Daily, Debate Ensues

You think you know someone when you commit to sharing your life with them, but there are always a few surprises that get revealed along the way. One woman was horrified to discover that her husband doesn't change his underwear daily and often goes a few days before changing into a fresh pair. She posted her dilemma on Reddit, asking if she's missing something regarding male hygiene because she (rightly) finds her husband's habit somewhat disturbing. Most people reassured her that men and women share the same basic rules, including changing your underwear on a daily basis. Check out some of the responses to this poor woman's crisis.

Woman Wants To Know If She's Wrong To Stop Supporting Dead Husband's 'Affair Child' At 18

Everyone has secrets; it's what makes life interesting. But sometimes, the way a secret is revealed can be more scandalous than the secret itself. One woman, who only found that her husband was having an affair when his mistress showed up at his funeral, pregnant, turned to the subreddit Am I The A-Hole for advice.

She explained how, out of the goodness of her heart, she "Agreed to set up a trust for the child for college and agreed to let them live in one of my rental properties in a good area rent-free until her child was 18." Now that the child is 18, she demands that the mom pays rent or moves out. Her deceased husband's family tells her that she is unfair and still owes the woman and her child money. She feels otherwise. Redditors agreed with her and claimed that she had been more than generous. What do you think?

Woman Creates Bizarre, Disturbing Self-Portraits And Calls It Art

Everyone has different tastes when it comes to art. What one person thinks is beautiful, another person thinks is trash. It's all subjective. But one woman is pushing the boundaries, possibly for everyone, and creating self-portraits that are... let's say, unorthodox. Iiu Susiraja, a Finnish artist, takes pictures of herself in all sorts of bizarre and somewhat disturbingly provocative poses, using various household props and calls it art. Maybe this sort of thing does it for some people, but personally, after looking at these pictures, I'm just left very, very confused.

Man Refuses To Give Pregnant Woman Seat On Bus, After Long Work Shift

You do some things in life, not because you have to, but because it's the right thing to do. Picking up litter, helping elderly people to cross the road, and giving up your seat on public transport for pregnant women. Most people don't question these unspoken rules of human decency, but you'll find someone who thinks they are exempt from them every now and again. Like this guy who posted on the popular Reddit thread Am I The A-hole, who asked if he was in the wrong for not giving up his seat on the bus for a pregnant lady, even though he "Works 10-hour shifts." In case you can't get an idea of the type of person he is, from that along, he goes on to say, "We live in a state where birth control and abortions are free, so I don't know why this should be my problem. It's not my fault she decided to have a baby when she can't afford a car."

Ummmm. So essentially, and correct me if I'm wrong, he's saying that if you want to feel comfortable on the bus, you should just get an abortion. Ok cool. He sounds like a genuinely upstanding citizen. Not.

Anyway, as you can imagine, Redditers pitched in left, right, and center, telling him just how much of an ahold he is and why he is a sh*tty human being. As always, there were a few people who were on his side (we've included one such response below), but most people were of the consensus that he is a d-bag. Read through his story and the reactions from Redditers and decide if you think he is, indeed, the ahole.

Woman Gives Husband Ultimatum After His 'Work Wife' Constantly Messages After Hours

A woman took to the popular Reddit thread, Am I The A**hole, to ask if she was right to give her husband an ultimatum when it came to his new female coworker who was infatuated with him. She was sick of the way the coworker would contact her husband, "Multiple times a day at all hours of the day and night she will call and text him for help" and felt that she was crossing all kinds of boundaries. She ended the post saying, "He can either to be married to me, or married to her, but I wasn't going to be the third wheel in my own marriage. He says he does not have feelings for her and that I am overreacting to him just wanting to help a friend. I feel otherwise. AITA?" Of course, Redditers jumped to her defense, reassuring her that she was totally within her right to call her husband out on his shady behavior. Read through her dilemma below, along with the advice she received. And always, always trust your gut when it comes to this type of behavior in relationships. Boundaries exist for a reason, and a partner who can't honor those boundaries does not respect you or your relationship.
