Woman Creates Inspiring Custom Lookalike Dolls For Kids With Disabilities

Amy Jandrisevitz, a woman from Wisconsin is creating incredible lookalike dolls for children with disabilities and illnesses in an attempt to help them feel less alone. The doll maker's incredible journey started five years ago when she was approached by a mom who asked her to customize a unique doll for her daughter who unfortunately lost a leg due to an amputation. From there, she continued receiving requests and eventually started a nonprofit called "A Doll Like Me". Although each doll costs $100, Amy covers any expenses that parents can't afford out of her own pocket. The aim is to stop children who have skin, limb, or facial differences to feel ostracized. Here are some of Amy's incredible creations.

Man Tweets How He Saved Woman From Strangers

As we know all too well, the world can be a dangerous place, particularly for a woman walking alone at night in metropolitan areas. Although staying vigilant is key in trying to avoid getting into dangerous situations, sometimes you may need to depend on the help of a kind stranger to keep you safe in certain circumstances. This is exactly the position one woman in NYC found herself in February, who when walking home alone, realized she was being followed by three men. Understanding the potential danger she was in, she approached a stranger and asked him to pretend he knew her, and accompany her home  The stranger tweeted the whole encounter (below) which went viral and inspired many people to thank him, on behalf of women everywhere for helping this woman while she was in a vulnerable state. It doesn't take a lot to show some kindness and help someone in need, like this compassionate stranger shows.

Women On Twitter Inspires Others To Appreciate Their 'Before' Noses

In a world so focussed on external looks, social media, and "ideal" beauty standards, it isn't always easy to feel beautiful. While we should be embracing our "flaws" and "imperfections" — because that's what makes us unique — we live in a society that encourages us to photoshop the blemishes from our pictures and get surgery to fix anything that's less than perfect on our bodies. Although there's a growing movement to change these attitudes, there is a lot more that come be done. One woman's tweet about the shape of her nose looking like a "before" photo, but loving herself anyway, has gone viral and has inspired other women to comment on the same topic. Here are some of the beautiful replies from women who have learned to love the unique shape of their noses and embrace their bodies.

Woman's Tweet Praising Short Husband Inspires Others To Do The Same

When it comes to picking a partner, we all have certain requirements or types. Whether it's hair color, skin tone, or physique, everyone has their thing. But one thing that most women in the western heterosexual dating world have in common is their desire for a man who is taller than them. Without going into the evolutionary reasons for this, this is often a deal-breaker for women, who have started writing this stipulation on their dating profiles. Men aren't happy about it for the most part (especially those who aren't 6 feet tall) and have begrudgingly started putting their height on the apps with the statement "because apparently that matters". While it's obvious that height isn't everything, one woman endorsed this in a tweet about her husband who is shorter than her, expressing how happy she is with her "5"5 king". Women felt inspired to post pictures of their shorter significant others saying how happy they are. Of course, there were the haters, but Lizz had great comebacks for them all. Check out the thread below.

Woman Dresses Up As Her Favorite Characters For Creative Pregnancy Updates

Pregnancy is a time when your body goes through many changes, both physically and hormonally. Many women document the progression of their pregnancy but one woman did it in the most creative way. Grace Horine, a photographer from Barcelona who lives in Orlando, Florida with her husband Brennan, created weekly pregnancy updates on Instagram that combined their love of Disney, Harry Potter, and The Office. Each week, Grace dressed up as a character from one of their favorite shows and posed next to a chalkboard which listed what trimester and week of her pregnancy she was as well as indicating the baby's size and a quote that usually had something to do with whatever character she was portraying. What an original to document her beautiful journey to motherhood. Check out the pictures below, including one of gorgeous baby Charlotte who is in the final photograph.

Some might even say that it is a legally binding contract to keep the other from trying to escape... but what's the real deal with marriage and how do women actually feel about it? How did it because a thing that it's every women's and little girls' dream to get married and that marriage is basically the goal?
