If you've been following this week's pop culture news, you're well aware that Taylor Swift dropped a rerecorded version of her album, Fearless, which is the first of six albums to be recorded. She decided to rerecord her work after music manager Scooter Braun acquired her old recording company, and as a result, gained ownership over Taylor's music. By re-recording her albums, she's reclaiming her ownership, and ya already know the Swifties are all over it! This Grammys was definitely one to remember. Even before the show, people were talking about it because of the several historic nominees they announced. One included the first Black woman nominated for a solo performance in a country category: Mickey Guyton. There was also an all-female lineup of artists in the Best Rock Performance category. Grammys 2021 really said, "WOMEN!"
Altogether it's been a bizarre and untraditional award season. A lot has changed, but regardless of what else is going on in the world, we will always have fire memes and tweets to count on.
