Relatable Pregnancy Memes For Anyone Struggling Through The 'Beautiful' Experience

If you are currently pregnant or have at any point been pregnant, then you'll know how beautiful of an experience it is. Nine months of pure bliss, where you get to bask in the glory of being proud to grow a new life inside of you, knowing that it will only get easier once you give birth. OK, fine, that may be stretching the truth— a little. Realistically, pregnancy is more like nine months of roller-coaster hormones, having your days taken over by morning sickness, and getting god-awful cravings at stupid-o-clock in the morning. All while knowing that it only gets more difficult once your little miracle makes an appearance into the world. If this sounds familiar, then these pregnancy memes are for you.

People Describe Their Funny Childbirth Stories

Giving birth is without a doubt one of the most beautiful miracles to occur every single second in this life. Side-note: Isn't that crazy? However, even though it is a precious thing, it is uncomfortable, painful, and gooey. I don't know about you, but my mom loves to remind me of that too. I guess childbirth/raising children are both one of those things that you never fully understand until you give it a go.

Women Reveal Ridiculous Stories Of How They Swore They Were Pregnant

Okay, this is definitely a thing. As girls, we usually all learn about what being pregnant is before we fully understand what sex is. This results in a delay of information, a disconnect you might say. We know that we are the gender that has babies, but what leads up to that? Some parents will try to scare their kids by saying that they can get pregnant in all kinds of ways. Thank god we have the internet these days. Just try not to get sucked into the "I didn't know I was pregnant" stories.

Man Trolled For Telling Pregnant Fiancé Not To Wear Tight Wedding Dress, Because It's 'Tacky'

Most brides look breathtaking whatever their dress choice (except the few like these, who get it wrong). But sometimes, life throws curveballs at you, and you have to roll with the punches. Some brides aren't always able to wear their dream dress for various reasons, especially in the current COVID climate, where no one knows what the hell is going on. Planning a wedding nowadays is difficult for everyone, and one couple decided they didn't want to wait until they could have their dream wedding and wanted to start trying for a baby first instead. They got pregnant straight away and immediately started planning their wedding, which would occur when the bride was 30 weeks pregnant. No biggie, because, as most open-minded people would agree, a pregnant bride is a glowing bride, and a glowing bride is a happy bride.  But not according to this woman's fiance, who posted on Reddit's Am I The Ahole, claiming that he thinks her choice of tight-fitting wedding dress is trashy, and "flaunting her pregnancy while we're getting married would be a bad look". Shockingly, she didn't take well to her fiance essentially shaming her for being pregnant at their wedding—a process in which he was clearly a willing participant. Redditers jumped to her defense, calling him out to be the massive ahole that he is.

Boss Dragged For Claiming Employee's Morning Sickness 'Counteracts Feminist Movement'

If you ever need a stark reminder that sexism is still very much alive and well, here's a story for ya. A male employer recently posted a rant on Reddit's Am I The AHole, expressing his displeasure over his (by the sounds of it, very much overworked) female employee's productivity being affected by her morning sickness. Yeah, no sh*t Sherlock. Try going through one day of pregnancy, and then mansplain about what a breeze it is. He said that since she was only in her "first trimester and barely even pregnant yet," he didn't think it was "fair to other women that she was using a normal bodily function as an excuse for low productivity." Ummm OK. Death is also a 'normal bodily function,' so I'm not sure that argument holds up. The cherry on the top of his ignorant, misogynistic rant was him telling her, "This is what women fought to counteract during the feminist movement." OK, so two things are clear to me: not only does this idiot have zero comprehension of how difficult pregnancy can be, but he's completely missed the point that his dismissal of her medical issues because it's pregnancy-related, is the sexist part. As you can imagine, Redditors were quick to jump down his throat, calling him out on being the a—hole that he is. God help his wife when she is pregnant.

Real Rude, Unwelcome Comments People Made To Pregnant Women

One thing a pregnant woman does not want is an unsolicited piece of advice about her pregnancy. From anyone. At any point. But, everyone always feels the need to give their two cents worth anyway because people are jerks. A Reddit thread asking for women to share their the rudest and most unpleasant things people said to them about their pregnancy revealed some genuinely shocking and heartbreaking responses. From meddling into their medical management to making insensitive comments about miscarriages, here is a selection of some of the things you should NEVER EVER say to a pregnant woman.

At the time I was 12 weeks along. Last October we lost our first pregnancy at 11 weeks and it was horrible! Man Refuses To Give Pregnant Woman Seat On Bus, After Long Work Shift

You do some things in life, not because you have to, but because it's the right thing to do. Picking up litter, helping elderly people to cross the road, and giving up your seat on public transport for pregnant women. Most people don't question these unspoken rules of human decency, but you'll find someone who thinks they are exempt from them every now and again. Like this guy who posted on the popular Reddit thread Am I The A-hole, who asked if he was in the wrong for not giving up his seat on the bus for a pregnant lady, even though he "Works 10-hour shifts." In case you can't get an idea of the type of person he is, from that along, he goes on to say, "We live in a state where birth control and abortions are free, so I don't know why this should be my problem. It's not my fault she decided to have a baby when she can't afford a car."

Ummmm. So essentially, and correct me if I'm wrong, he's saying that if you want to feel comfortable on the bus, you should just get an abortion. Ok cool. He sounds like a genuinely upstanding citizen. Not.

Anyway, as you can imagine, Redditers pitched in left, right, and center, telling him just how much of an ahold he is and why he is a sh*tty human being. As always, there were a few people who were on his side (we've included one such response below), but most people were of the consensus that he is a d-bag. Read through his story and the reactions from Redditers and decide if you think he is, indeed, the ahole.

Funny Birth Control Tweets To Laugh The Breakouts Away

Birth control is, without a doubt, one of the best things to come out of modern medicine. Women can choose from so many options to prevent pregnancy and heavy, painful periods, including caps, diaphragms, the pill, implant, patches, and IUD, to name just a few. And until a male birth control pill is invented, men will continue complaining about wearing condoms, oblivious to all the hormones women ingest instead of them. Seriously men, do you have any idea the emotional toll that birth control can have on a person? Probably not. Anyway, if you're a woman who takes birth control of any kind, then you'll relate to these tweets in a bittersweet way. Hopefully, the hormones won't get to you before the humor!

Man Thinks It's Too Soon To Move In With Pregnant GF, Causes Uproar

Having unprotected sex is fun and games until you end up with an unplanned pregnancy. Of course, having a baby is a blessing and a gift and something to be treasured. Still, when it comes as a surprise (aka a mistake), it forces you to recalibrate your future and embrace the responsibilities of parenthood perhaps earlier than you might have wanted to. I guess the age-old adage of "don't be silly, wrap your willy" is correct. Ideally, both parents should embrace the challenge of parenthood equally, however, some men try playing the "I'm not ready for fatherhood" card to shirk parental responsibility and carry on living a single lifestyle. Of course, these men are idiots, especially those who didn't wear a condom during sex.

One guy on Reddit's r/AmITheAsshole thread got himself in this exact situation and has caused somewhat of an uproar upon asking if he was the ahole. In short, he didn't use a condom during sex (by his own admission) got his GF of eight months pregnant, and then claimed he felt it was too early for them to move in together to raise the baby. He admits that his friends and family think he's a massive tool, and it sounds like his GF is sick of his sh*t. I would be too! But it's safe to say that 99% of Redditers agree with them, and lay into the OP pretty hard. What do you think of the situation? Is he the ahole?
