Renaissance Artists Painted Really Creepy, Ugly Babies

There are two types of babies in medieval art; the beautiful, cupid angel babies and the creepy old man babies you see here. We're sure there's some historical reason that Renaissance artists chose to draw babies like tiny full-sized men, but we don't like it. It's kind of like going to see a horror film, or squishing a spider... you know it's scary, but you just can't look away. On that note, enjoy this collection of Renaissance paintings full of ugly creepy babies, clearly painted by men who had never seen a real-life baby.

Artist Travels To Beautiful Locations To Paint The Pattern of His Own Shirt

Art is a difficult topic to dicsuss because it's all a matter of taste; what one person finds beautiful, another person finds vulgur. It's all relative. But you know what isn't as relative? Humor. OK, it is, but what you're about to see is objectivally funny. Artist Hank Schmidt in der Beek and photographer Fabian Schubert have started a project where they travel to beautifully scenic locations, set up an easel and begin to paint. But Hank doesn't paint what he sees. No, he paints the design of the shirt he is wearing, while Fabiamn photographs him doing it. This hysterical take on classic outdoor painting gave us a laugh, so we thought we'd share it with you. Enjoy!

Amazing Works By Vincent van Gogh In A New Perspective.

Tilt-shift photography became a new big thing on the web a couple years ago but now it's coming back. What is it exactly? Well, a special lens that gives a real-world scene the illusion of being a miniature model. The same effect can be simulated in Photoshop, by adjusting contrast, color saturation and depth of focus. It works well with photographs, but this time they decided to use this technique with actual paintings. They decided to use Vincent van Gogh's famous paintings and this is what happened;
