Instagram is rife with people photoshopping their photos to ridiculously unattainable levels of beauty. Sometimes, the edits are subtle, and other times they are less so. I would argue that the pictures containing slight edits do more damage than those that are so obviously photoshopped because they portray a somewhat believable illusion of perfection. But the ones that are so severely photoshopped that they distort limbs and make skin look TOO smooth are the ones we can laugh at because the people who publish them live on planet delusion—population: themselves.
