Dumbest Things People Posted In Parenting Facebook Groups

Just because you have a baby doesn't mean you know what you're doing when it comes to parenting. It's just a process of trial and error, and honestly, most parents don't have a clue. Some ask their parents for help; others ask friends and some post on Facebook groups. All are valuable ways to learn new information, but sometimes the questions are so ridiculous that it makes you wonder if there should be a common-sense test to determine whether or not you are fit to have a baby. If there was, we can't imagine these parents would pass. Check out these insane questions parents posted in Facebook groups.

American's are known for a lot of things. We're known to have some of the most popular fast-food chains, the biggest movie stars, and the most colorful cereals. But that's just a bit about our culture. We are also known to have a lot of people who will occasionally say some less-than-smart things. But hey, not everyone can be an academic, some people are meant to entertain.

On this Fourth Of July, please allow yourself to be entertained by some of these interesting statements made by your fellow Americans.

People Who Regretfully Used Words They Didn't Know The Meaning Of

As humans, our vocabulary is something we work on and develop constantly throughout our lifetime. Once we finish schooling it is basically entirely up to us to keep expanding it, or else we fall behind. It's not the most important thing in the world, to know fancy words and be able to use them in casual conversation, but it sure feels good to be able to through around words like 'facetious and 'iniquitous.'

Full disclosure we had to double-check the spelling of both of those words. So don't feel bad if those aren't your go-to's.

Most Ridiculous Things Men Did To 'Prove Their Manhood'

For too long, we have taught little boys growing up that expressing emotion is for girls and that real men are "hard." We excuse outbursts of violence and anger under the guise that "boys will be boys," creating a culture of toxic masculinity. The result is a new generation of men that feels the need to prove their "manhood" to feel accepted by society. Of course, this attitude is detrimental to their own mental (and often physical) health and those around them. I'm sure you've seen plenty of real-life examples of this, but a Reddit thread asking for the dumbest things people have seen a man do to "prove" their "manhood" has revealed just how prevalent toxic masculinity is. Read on and dispair!

People Reveal Signs That Someone Is Not As Smart As They Think

We've all had our fair share of experiences with 'know-it-alls'. There's one in every classroom, office space, dinner table. They're quite easy to spot out because they're probably the one who never shuts upand starts every sentence with 'Well, Actually...'

Are you envisioning anyone in specific yet? I think we all can. Sometimes these kinds of people are truly full of knowledge and don't know how to hold it in, but most of the time they're not exactly the sharpest tool in the toolbox and need to be knocked down a level or two.

15 Times Guys Actually Thought We Cared About Their Opinion, Yikes

Guys a missing a lot of things, but something they seem to always show up equipped with is the audacity. It's quite incredible when you actually think about it. They are literally raised to believe that everyone gives a sh*t about their opinion, and so they feel the need to express it... at all times. It can be extremely insulting and annoying, but once you really look at some of the BS they post and are able to laugh at it, it gets much more entertaining.

Sexist Tweets From Men Which Prove They Know Nothing About Women

Women have to deal with sexism basically every day of their lives. At home, at school, at work, at the grocery store... it's a nonstop phenomenon. It's not new either, women have been oppressed from as far as my history books went at school. The only difference nowadays is that there's a new location for women to get sh*t on by disgusting men, yep, you guessed it: Twitter! The only issue is, I don't think these men understand how clueless they come off, so now it's our turn to roast them right back. Buckle your seat ladies, some of these are painfully idiotic.

People Call Out The Dumbest Person They Ever Got The Privilege Of Meeting

Some people are so clueless that it is an actual joy to be around them. And let's be real, there will always be times where we are the dummies in the room. Maybe not amongst your friends, but the moment you walk into a hardware store, suddenly your philosophy degree seems very pointless. It's a part of life, depending on the context we will either be the relative genius or the babbling fool. Which one are you right now?

Impressively Incorrect Things People Decided They Wanted To Share With The World Via Twitter

We all have brain farts from time to time. It can be super embarrassing, but usually, we're able to clarify that it was just a simple mistake, and people won't leave the situation thinking we are complete numb-nuts. We are all just human after all.

The only thing is, nowadays we express a good portion of our thoughts online and our 'brain farts' can be taken completely out of context, and the next thing you know there is an entire subreddit created about your beautifully inaccurate tweet, and now you are coined as an airhead. Is it fair? No. But is it hilarious? I mean, obviously.

Fifteen Of The Dumbest Things People Were Actually Told

It's amazing how long people can go believing a 'fun fact' they heard once, without ever actually looking into it. My parents used to tell me that drinking soda would stunt my growth, and I thought, "Oh sh*t, okay, thanks for the heads-up," and then proceeded to avoid soda at all costs and silently judge anyone who dared take a sip. It wasn't until I was much older, and had already completely stopped growing vertically, that I realized this was straight-up BS. Though this is what parents do, lying is easier than explaining.

Though it is important to note that not all of the dumb things we say come from our parents. There are some things we need to take responsibility for, like being airheads.

If you've ever come across someone with a lot of questionable 'knowledge,' you'll probably enjoy this Reddit thread.

Non-Americans Expose The Dumbest Thing An American Actually Said To Them

Americans are known for a lot of things. Some stereotypes are cool, like how we are known to have the craziest college experiences, fairly good customer service, and unlimited drink refills. These generalizations don't tend to bother anyone. However, there are less flattering ones as well... Unfortunately, Americans don't have the reputation of being the sharpest tools in the shed. Which, of course, is not always true! But after seeing these comments from TikTok, it might help you understand where this stereotype came from.

Embarrassingly Inaccurate Things Americans Posted On The Internet

Hey, we have all learned our lesson the hard way that what you put on the internet is permanent. Some of us have accidentally posted less-than-desirable selfies, sent a DM to the completely wrong person, or had a friend upload a super embarrassing video of us that nearly went viral. You cannot control the internet, it works in mysterious ways.

One thing is for sure though, some Americans really have a way with words. Sometimes they can't help but expose their... lack of worldliness whenever they post (with much confidence) some serious BS. We American's know that they are not the majority, but it still can be really embarrassing. Maybe this list can be used as motivation to increase funding for public schools? Just a thought.

Twitter Users Reveal Ridiculous Statements Overheard At The Movie Theater

Remember the days when we could watch movies in the theater without a care in the world? Our biggest worry was which size popcorn to get (large obviously) or where to sit (back row, middle seats, duh). But those days are distant memories, and who knows when we'll be allowed back into theaters. We wouldn't even mind the obnoxious idiots who talk throughout the movie, or who have their phones on loud—just bring back normality, please! Joining us in movie theater nostalgia is writer Mike Ginn, who recently tweeted: "The thing I miss most about movie theaters is overhearing someone say the dumbest f—king thing I've ever heard before the previews start." His tweet went viral, and he received thousands of replies from people, all sharing the dumbest things they've overheard at the movies. What's yours?
