The Viral TikTok Trend 'What I Wanted Vs. What I Got' Is Pure Gold

It can be hard to give up control over something. And that is exactly what we do every time we go to get our hair cut or our nails done, or our dog groomed. We release control and trust that some 'professional' knows better than us. It's their job after-all, there must be a reason they make a living... right?

On TikTok, people are posting different examples of 'What they asked for' Vs. 'What they got' and considering most of these outcomes are not irreversible (except for maybe #14), they are pretty darn hilarious.

Delusional Mom Refuses To Let 25-Year-Old Daughter Sleep In Same Room As Boyfriend

When we are growing up, we have to follow our parent's rules. It's just the way it is. They feed and clothe us, so we basically have to do whatever they say.

"Be home by 11."

"Oookay."

"Finish your homework."

"Oookay"

"No closing doors when a boy is over."

"Ookay."

They make these rules (usually) to keep us safe, productive, and out of trouble. But sometimes our parents can forget that at some point we pay our own bills, buy our own clothes, and have to make our own decisions. At some point, they have to realize that we're not kids anymore, and we've already moved on from the possibility of teen pregnancy.

15 Times Guys Actually Thought We Cared About Their Opinion, Yikes

Guys a missing a lot of things, but something they seem to always show up equipped with is the audacity. It's quite incredible when you actually think about it. They are literally raised to believe that everyone gives a sh*t about their opinion, and so they feel the need to express it... at all times. It can be extremely insulting and annoying, but once you really look at some of the BS they post and are able to laugh at it, it gets much more entertaining.

Husband Moves In Roommate Without Telling Wife First, Gets Roasted Online

This past year has been rough on most people. Emotionally, financially, even spiritually. A lot of us have had to make serious adjustments in our lives to keep ourselves safe and secure. This time has also tested a lot of couples. Some had to be together for obnoxiously long periods, some didn't get to see each other for months at a time, and some had to flat-out end things. In sum, the world is different. But one thing will always be important when it comes to relationships, and that thing is communication.

Disrespectful Things Guests Actually Did In People's Homes

Bringing guests into your home is a wonderful thing to do. Although hospitality is somewhat of a skill, it's not that hard to create an environment where your guests feel relaxed and at home. But what happens when they feel a little too comfortable? There's a fine line between feeling at home in someone else's house and being an obnoxious a**hole, which is a concept that some people don't quite understand. And those people are idiots. A Reddit thread asking people to share 'the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did at your home' has revealed just how little concern some people have for other's properties, and the responses are pretty shocking! Here are some of the best!

Woman Reported By Coworker For Eating 'Sexy Potatoes' At Work

Anyone who has worked in an office is familiar with the situation of being forced to deal with a crazy coworker. If you can't think of anyone in your office... I have some unfortunate news for you.

No, but seriously, there's always going to be someone that you don't mesh with but you are forced to deal with them anyway. That's just life in general. However, this situation, shared by Reddit user u/SuccessfulPeace292, seemed a little more obscure than usual. She was literally reported to HR by her 'Karen' coworker for eating 'sexy potatoes.' If that prompt doesn't make you insist on getting more details, I don't know what will.

Non-Obvious Red Flags In Friendships Which Can Make Some Serious Damage

We are often very picky when it comes to choosing our potential partners. We go on multiple dates, wait to open up, and often ask other people for advice on whether the relationship is healthy. For whatever reason, we do not go to this extent for friendships as well. A lot of the time friendships come out of straight convenience, and it might be because I'm a bit of an over-sharer but I definitely do not wait to make sure I can fully trust them before I get into some deep topics with friends.

Just like in romantic relationships, there are definitely red flags in friendships that you don't always see. Luckily, people are pointing them out on Reddit.

Teen Reports Teacher For Ordering Her To 'Control Her Period' During Zoom Class

Having a period has always been something that holds women back since men are unable to fully understand how they work. For whatever reason, it is still a cringy topic to bring up and girls are still expected to hide their tampons in their sleeves as they excuse themselves from class.

For this teen though, that wasn't even an option. Even in Zoom High School, some teachers still refuse to let their kids 'leave' to go to the bathroom. I guess power-hungry teachers have found new ways to make their students' lives miserable. Refreshing, isn't it?

The 16-year-old eventually reported her teacher and realized that he may lose his job. Now she's asking if she's an A-hole on Reddit for potentially jeopardizing his career. What do you think?

Teen Reports Teacher For Ordering Her To 'Control Her Period'| thumbnail photo - AITA for reporting my teacher and potentially getting him fired? My (16f) school requires us to keep our cameras on during the entire class. If we need to use the restroom we are supposed to privately message our teacher and ask to leave. I have absolutely no issue with these rules as I understand that online teaching is hard and you have to make sure everyone is attentive during classes.

'Bridezilla' Expects All Guests To Gift Her $400, Gets Utterly Roasted Online

Having a wedding is a big deal. The families throwing it often put a lot of time, effort, and money into planning a seamless event for the guests to enjoy. That being said, do the guests really owe the bride and groom anything more than their attendance? Sure, it is common to have a wedding registry, but should it be conditional?

Sometimes after so much planning and stressing, it's almost inevitable that someone will lose their mind. This is what appears to have happened to this 'Bridezilla' who insisted on her guest buying her items such as designer bags, expensive makeup, basically, anything totaling up to (but no less than) 400$.

Someone shared her list of expectations on Reddit, and not surprisingly, people sure did not approve.

4th Grader Punished With Zoom Detention, Mom Says It's Ridiculous

Most of us can't really imagine what it's like to be a young child in zoom-school. Personally, I could barely focus in regular grade school. On a computer in your own home, there are a million distractions that could take your attention away at any moment. In general, nobody argues that it is the ideal learning environment, but it is the best that we can do until this bizarre time passes. However, it is important that teachers realize not everything can be perfectly moved over to zoom. Sure, we can do read-aloud, quizzes, projects, but... detention? This one might be taking it a step too far.

Evil Mothers-In-Law Who Don't Believe In The Concept Of Boundaries

There are so many stereotypes about mothers-in-law and their relationships with their children's spouses. Often they don't approve, but that is to be expected. They believe their kids are the best in the world, so who could measure up? Constant disapproval will be a nuisance to anyone, but what is even more toxic is when a mother-in-law completely disregards boundaries. Many will just see them as mere suggestions and choose to go out of their way to interfere in every situation. Sound familiar?

MIL's are just one of the many joys of married life.

People Confess The Major Life-Ruining Secrets They Know About Their Friends

We all have those secrets that we can only hope and pray will never come out unintentionally. Some secrets are innocent, like having a hidden sexuality, or a niche hobby. But some secrets are literally incriminating, like fcking somebody you know damn well you shouldn't have fcked, or filming something you know damn well you shouldn't have filmed. Sometimes we spend years hiding these events, and we have to gradually convince ourselves that these stories are forever in the past, but then you get drunk one night and tell someone, and suddenly the secret is not only yours to hide anymore.

If you've ever known something about someone that eats away at you at night, you might relate to this Reddit thread.

People Who Made Their Parents Want To Return Them

Half of our job as children is to disappoint our parents. It's in our nature, what better is there a way to show them that we love them? We simply need to make embarrassing mistakes so that when we don't severely f**k something up, they can be proud! Do you see? Genius. This is what growing up is all about. Life is much more bearable when you realize that your parents are just people who decided to get down and dirty and bring more people into this world. There are definitely some boundaries that I prefer to keep with my parents, but they definitely get crossed on the regular. Oh well.

If you've ever thought to yourself, "Damn, I'm a disappointment," you might relate to these Tweets.
