Nothing like camping in the great outdoors. Since most kids have never pitched a tent, lit a fire without chemicals, or spent a night out in the woods without a smartphone and Fortnite. So get back to your roots with some homey and hilarious camping puns.

Entitled Mother Crashes Father-Daughter Camping Trip, Ruins It By Making It About Herself

Reddit's infamous "Am I The A$$hole?" subreddit never ceases to disappoint when it comes to providing all the fam drama. As per usual, we're so here for the tea. In short, the original poster is a teen who was excited about treating her dad on an all-expenses camping trip in honor of Father's Day. Even though her mom hates camping, she decided to come along and made the trip all about herself. According to the OP, her mom kept trying to get rid of her, even trying to get her to hang out with other teens at the campsite so that the two of them could have alone time. OP was not having it and eventually flipped out at her mom, who stormed out in tears. So, who's the jerk in the situation? Scroll down for more context.

Not the A-hole So I (16f) got my dad an all expenses paid camping trip for father's day. And I mean I paid for EVERYTHING. I mean food, the camp site, gas, everything. I've been saving up for this for months because he loves the outdoors, and my job doesn't pay quite enough so I had to save to make this trip happen. O

Summer camp is a place for kids to live out all their childhood dreams and have the best time ever. Each camp has its traditions, from pranks to campfire songs to color wars. Some of them might be fun, but other camp traditions range from slightly weird to borderline psychotic, and a Reddit thread asking people to share the creepiest things that ever happened to them on summer camp confirms this to be true. Scroll through these scary stories to see how NOT to treat a child at camp because the PTSD is real, people!

people reveal their creepiest summer camp memories from when they were kids | thumbnail text - İBTGX43 · 3d S My youth group stayed at a camp site for a weekend trip. We were all in the cabin playing card games when someone with a gorilla suit ran by the cabin and started banging on the door. It really freaked everyone out because it was no one in our group. They came back a couple times until one of the adults confronted the person and they ran away. They never found out who the person was.

Horrifying Camping Stories For People Who Already Despise The Outdoors

Personally, I'm big on camping - as long as other people are doing the work for me. But camping isn't just getting nice and toasty in front of the campfire with some delicious s'mores under the stars. There's every single type of bug in the world, packs of raccoons, unruly fires, and even lions and tigers and bears - oh my! Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating, but an old Reddit thread I discovered showed me just how crazy spending a night out in the wilderness can get. After you read these camping horror stories, you'll never want to step outside ever again. Camping might seem like a good idea at first, but make sure you know what you're doing before you brave the woods.

People Who Absolutely Hate Being Outside Rant Against 'The Great Outdoors'

I'm a pretty outdoorsy girl. I love hiking, working up a sweat, and setting up camp, and cracking open a cold one with my closest friends under the stars. The bugs may be a pain in the butt and my back might hurt the next day, but that's what bug spray and air mattresses are for. In the end, it's all worth it. Alas, not everyone on the internet has the same opinion as me, and unfortunately, they don't share the same passion for the great outdoors. The people of Twitter have never been shy about going on daily rants, and this week's topic of choice is why going outside absolutely sucks. Scroll down for these super honest and hilarious tweets.
