Mom Wants To Know If She's Wrong To Blame Six-Year-Old Daughter For Babysitter Quitting

The world can be a scary and daunting place for kids. Learning to navigate their way through it as they develop emotions, opinions and feelings can be challenging. As any parent can attest, kids choose to throw tantrums out of nowhere, always at the worst times. Even though it's because they're feeling scared, insecure, or out of control, it doesn't make them any easier to deal with. So what do you do when your child misbehaves? Do you comfort them, or do you criticize them for acting up and use it as a teaching opportunity to demonstrate that actions have consequences? One mother faced a difficult challenge after her six-year-old's bratty behavior caused their babysitter to quit. She posted in Reddit's Am I The A-hole, asking if she was wrong for telling her daughter that her repeated bad behavior was the reason for their babysitter quitting...

Father Demands Babysitter To Cough Up $2,200 To Replace Guitar Which His Child Broke

As a teen, babysitting is one of the best gigs you can get. Kids can be super entertaining, and you legitimately get paid to let them watch TV, or play Minecraft, or make TikToks — whatever kids are up to these days. It's always the absolute best when the kids are already asleep when you show up. From that point on it's just Netflix and snacks. (Much better than Netflix and chill)

Obviously, it's not all sunshine as daisies though. Some kids can be utter nightmares and really try to test your patience. But what's even worse than bratty kids are unreasonable parents.

We hired a babysitter we've had a few times at a good rate of $20/hr since it was only for 3 hours in our home. The babysitter is a 19 year old woman if it matters, I think maybe the age will affect something.

I was a very popular baby sitter as I also worked at the daycare centre. Often I would have kids from two or three different families at once. I didn't care I got triple the pay for having three different groups of kids. I was recently told why I always had groups of kids like that. Turns out the small town had a swing
